The Post in which MY To-Be-Read List becomes YOURS…

I have a small pile of books I’ve been working my way through. I also have some books I want to read very soon. With the help of a brainstorming friend, I’ve concocted an evil plan for my summer blogging…let me share it with you.

Below, I’m going to post my To-Be-Read book list. If you’ve read one of these and you’re game, write a short review of the book–about 500 words max. I want to post several reviews this summer–I’m thinking one-two reviews a month. That way, I know more about the books as I work my way through them…and I won’t feel bad that I haven’t gotten around to it yet. And you get a chance to blow everyone away with your thoughtful book reviews!

I’d prefer it if you didn’t rip the books apart, but by all means, if something stood out to you as particularly bothersome, do mention that. And be sure to highlight the strengths of the book–storyline, characters, prose, etc.

Okay…here we go:

Heather’s To-Be-Read Summer 2013 List:

Poison by Jordyn Redwood

Invisible by Ginny Yttrup

Fire By Night by Lynn Austin

The Clouds Roll Away by Sibella Giorello

Five Days in Skye by Carla Laureano (ebook only–Link here: Five Days in Skye)

The House at Riverton by Kate Morton

Firefly Island by Lisa Wingate

The Girl in the Glass by Susan Meissner

A Heart Deceived by Michelle Griep (ebook only and releasing June 20–Link here: A Heart Deceived)

Six Solitude Road by Bethany MacManus (ebook only–Link here: Six Solitude Road)

Not By Sight by Kathy Herman

Gone South by Meg Mosely

If you’ve already written/blogged a review on one of these books, feel free to send that to me, if you’re okay with my posting it on my blog.

I’d love for you to send a picture and bio with your review, if you have one you want to share. And if you have an idea for a book I need to add to my To-Be-Read list, please share in the comments!

I look forward to hearing from you all. Feel free to email me at heatherdaygilbert (at) gmail (dot) com if you don’t want to volunteer in the comments here!

  1. I'll take Lisa's book – I need to do a review for it anyway, and if you're cool with a reblog, it's all yours. In fact, I can even "personalize it" for your site so they're slightly different. Great idea!
